About The Aisle

The Aisle is a new independent media publication from me, Jason Del Rey, that will chronicle the emerging AI era of commerce. Is it agentic, conversational, or AI-powered commerce?

We can debate the terminology in time. What's clear is that the industry is on the brink of its biggest transformation in decades—and it’s calling for an expert, human voice covering it deeply to help separate real developments from empty hype.

The Aisle will publish a weekly paid newsletter with sharp original reporting and exclusive interviews on how the most influential players are using AI to reshape how the world buys and sells. It’ll also publish scoops and news-driven analysis when the moment calls for it. (And yes, I love tips…so please send them my way at [email protected].)

When you read The Aisle, you’ll hear from and about powerful incumbents like Amazon and Walmart; commerce enablers like Shopify and Stripe; and AI innovators like OpenAI and Perplexity.

The Aisle is for leaders at consumer brands and retailers navigating what AI means for their customers…and their business. It's for the builders inside the AI labs, tech giants, and startups who are reinventing how people discover and shop online. And it's for the investors funding this next wave of change.

The Aisle is bootstrapped and reader-funded. If you believe in me and this work, please consider subscribing today.
